NORRA [2019]
'NORRA' was my first short film that I had the opportunity to write, direct, and edit. The inspiration for this story came from observing people in the park walking their dogs, often without paying attention to their surroundings. The dogs seemed to lead the way, creating an interesting yet somewhat sad visual. I wanted to capture this and convey the temporariness of life. Pets seemed fitting for this theme, as their love is instinctive, pure, and loyal.
I created this film during my first internship at Fourcorners, a production company based in Arnhem, where I was given the assignment to make a film entirely according to my vision. I had complete creative freedom but also full responsibility for every aspect of production. When I needed help or support, the team was there to assist me. I am very grateful for the opportunity to make my first short film in this way, guided by professionals and working in a professional setting. I look back with great pleasure on a beautiful and highly instructive process.
